As you pot balls in cosecutive shots, the shot timer is reduced, raising the stakes of the match and increasing the skill required to get a Perfect Run (all balls down without missing). The reduced timer is shown by the timing circle around your Character starting with less area filled.

Upgrade equipment to increase your Time Stat. Upgrading your Character has the biggest impact on increasing Time.

The amount of time for the Final Ball shot will always be a deducted yet consistent amount, regardless of how many consecutive shots were made previously. Enhancing your Time Stat will also increase your shot time on the Final Ball.
